Nikki: Tell us a little bit about your journey.
Cherri: Started in the makeup industry as a beauty consultants at a Japanese skincare brand – Shiseido. Then worked for M.A.C cosmetics and Giorgio Armani, then established my own makeup and hair studio in 2012.
Passion leads the way, for sure!

Nikki: Who or what was your inspiration that led you to this industry or profession?
Cherri: I studied visual art at VCA Melbourne University. Beautiful and creative things have always attracted me!
 
Nikki: What is something you have learnt about this industry in the last 12-month?
Cherri: Trend always changes, classic style always comes back. Attention to detail is the key winner as a makeup artist.
 
Nikki: How do you market your service?
Cherri: Word of mouth, mostly. I rarely promote myself via public advertisement.
I should really work hard on this. Hahaha
 
Nikki: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Cherri: Expanding the studio employee numbers, try to say more yes to my clients, as nowadays I am really running on a tight schedules.
Also, Glamday studio provides personal makeup trainings for those who are seeking to style up their daily appearance.
 
Nikki: Tell us about a challenging client or situation and how did you handle that?
Cherri: Facing ladies from different nationalities, as we all have different aesthetic values on makeup styles. Thick line, thin line, define what is real natural color to individuals. Respect and listen to my client always comes first.
